Fresh water pearls on waxed linen. £60.00 |
Macramé originates in the Arab world, where weavers used it to finish off bath towels and shawls. With the Moorish invasion, Macramé reached Spain and from there spread to the rest of Europe. Sailors use it to weave hammocks and much of the knotting in sailing uses Macramé. Macramé is the ancient Art of tying knots. Each of my pieces has a story; each one, for me, is a journey and a lesson on Life.

My pieces are a meditation. As I work on them, they work on me.
